CutOut Sculptures - Number 6
metal sculpture.
A series of one-of-a-kind pieces, that arise from collages, cutouts and paper shapes that I formed into sculptures and then translated into metal.
Dancers, bathers and warriors, characters ever-present in my work.
I cut all the pieces by hand using a plasma cutter, then grinded them, bent them and welded them all by myself before finally treating the surface. This means, of course, that my handy work can actually be seen in these pieces and you'll find my welding spots or marks from the tools... traces of me. These are not perfectly machined objects but sculptures made by me.
Some of the pieces in this collection are bigger and heavier than others, which has an impact in shipping prices. please read the size specs to have a better understanding of scale. you can also email me for more pictures or videos. Eventually I'll post these on Instagram along with bits of the making process that I managed to capture when I wasn't too busy trying not to get hurt ;)
this one has a finishing called blueing, it's heavily textures and wont chip or be affected by the elements.
dimensions for this piece:
48x25x20cm
materials:
2mm steel sheet and 8mm steel base.
weight:
4k
Shipping: Some of these pieces are very heavy. heavy means expensive in the shipping world. I don't want shipping to be a problem so I made a rough estimate of how much it would be to ship these to different countries and I'll cover the rest myself.
so, for you to have a guide:
within the European union it would be around 20-25£
to the UK it would be 30£
to the states & australia it would be around 50£
